Since commencing commercial shipments at the end of 2021, HiTHIUM has relied on three core competitive strengths: cost leadership, outstanding service, and safety and reliability. Its cumulative shipments have successively surpassed 100 GWh and 200 GWh, while its position in global industry shipment rankings has continued to rise—from fifth worldwide in 2023 to third in 2024, and then to the global Top 2 in 2025 and the first half of 2026. The company has continued to set a rapid pace for industry growth and high-quality development.
The strong shipment figures and continued rise in industry rankings demonstrate HiTHIUM's combined capabilities in long-duration energy storage, full-chain integration, lighthouse-factory manufacturing and global delivery services. They also reflect the company's efforts to develop new quality productive forces in energy storage and support the large-scale, high-quality growth of China’s energy storage industry.
Government–Enterprise Cooperation: Building a New Energy Storage Hub in Western China
HiTHIUM's rapid growth has been supported by services and resources provided by Tongliang District. Guided by the principle of responding promptly to business needs while avoiding unnecessary intervention, Tongliang has improved its services through measures including the "Three Services" and "Four Liaison Mechanisms," construction upon land acquisition, inspection upon project completion, certification upon facility delivery and access to eligible policies without a separate application.
Tongliang has also carried out targeted industrial-chain development and services around HiTHIUM, promoting the concentration of key materials, cell manufacturing and system integration businesses. This has gradually created an industrial structure led by major enterprises and supported by coordinated upstream and downstream development. From supporting the growth of an individual company to developing an entire industrial chain, Tongliang has worked with HiTHIUM to bring production capacity and supporting enterprises into the region, helping its new energy storage industry grow from the ground up into an integrated cluster.
At this new stage, Tongliang is aligning with Chongqing’s "33618" modern manufacturing cluster system and positioning new energy storage as a priority industry. The district will continue supporting the growth of HiTHIUM Chongqing, coordinate efforts to advance lithium battery transportation by rail and cultivate industry talent, and support the development of a Southwest China R&D centre for new energy storage. These initiatives are intended to accelerate the creation of a new energy storage hub in western China.
Advancing Long-Duration Storage: Building Long-Term Competitiveness Through Innovation, Systems and Responsibility
At the milestone ceremony, Wang Pengcheng, Co-founder and President of HiTHIUM, said that reaching 200 GWh in cumulative shipments marked a new starting point for the company's high-quality and global development.
With its roots in Xiamen, HiTHIUM has established manufacturing bases in Chongqing and other locations while actively expanding into global markets. The company is pursuing technological innovation, integrated development and global expansion as it works towards becoming the world’s leading energy storage brand.
As a core strategic hub, HiTHIUM Chongqing relies on the world's first lighthouse factory dedicated to energy storage batteries to deepen supply-chain collaboration and support high-quality, large-scale delivery. The base is strengthening Chongqing’s new energy storage industry while providing a solid foundation for HiTHIUM's global development.
Looking ahead, Wang said that competition in the energy storage industry is no longer limited to individual products. It has become a broader competition in full-chain integration. HiTHIUM will therefore continue strengthening its competitiveness across three dimensions: innovation for the long term, systems for the long term and responsibility for the long term.

In terms of innovation for the long term, HiTHIUM will remain focused on energy storage and continue pursuing its long-duration energy storage strategy. The company aims to advance the large-scale global delivery and deployment of its first kiloampere-hour-class integrated long-duration storage solution, while developing integrated solutions covering applications from the battery cell to the power grid. Its goal is to make renewable energy combined with long-duration storage a dependable foundation for the new power system.
In terms of systems for the long term, HiTHIUM will continue implementing its globalisation strategy based on the principle that there can be no stability without a strong domestic foundation and no strength without global reach. With its Xiamen headquarters at the centre, the company will use the coordinated strengths of its Chongqing and other manufacturing bases while connecting them with its overseas localisation network. This approach is intended to strengthen full-chain coordination across technology, products, intelligent manufacturing, supply chains and delivery services, while improving the company's global resource allocation, large-scale manufacturing and project delivery capabilities.
In terms of responsibility for the long term, HiTHIUM will continue to pursue long-term development and deepen its regional localisation strategy. Through advanced manufacturing capacity, the company aims to promote coordinated innovation across upstream and downstream segments of the industrial chain, foster new technologies, manufacturing capabilities, talent and industry ecosystems, and contribute to regional renewable energy development. This approach is intended to align the company's growth with regional development and national strategic priorities.
Deepening Its Roots in Tongliang: Lighthouse Manufacturing Strengthens the Foundation for Global Delivery
The implementation of HiTHIUM's strategy depends on a strong manufacturing system and industrial chain. As an important strategic hub supporting the company's integrated development and global expansion, HiTHIUM Chongqing continues to advance intelligent manufacturing, large-scale production and supply-chain coordination, providing strong support for the company’s global delivery capabilities.
During the project presentation at the ceremony, Guo Licheng introduced the construction progress, lighthouse factory and future development plans of HiTHIUM Chongqing. The presentation highlighted the base's achievements in large-scale manufacturing, intelligent upgrading and industrial-chain coordination.
Working with Industry Partners to Build a New Energy Storage Ecosystem
Reaching the 200 GWh milestone represents not only a significant stage in HiTHIUM's development but also the long-term support of its industrial-chain partners.
During the event, HiTHIUM signed strategic cooperation agreements with Wanhua Chemical (Yantai) Battery Industry Co., Ltd., Hunan Yuneng New Energy Battery Material Co., Ltd. and Fujian Keda New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. The agreements will deepen upstream and downstream collaboration and support the high-quality development of the full long-duration energy storage value chain.

At the ceremony, Guo Licheng presented a commemorative model of a long-duration energy storage system to the Tongliang District Planning Exhibition Hall on behalf of the company. The presentation commemorated an important milestone in HiTHIUM's development in Tongliang and reflected the shared commitment of the company and local government to deepen cooperation and advance the new energy storage industry.

Another 100 GWh Leap: Entering a New Stage of Global Development
Looking back from the new starting point of more than 200 GWh in cumulative shipments, HiTHIUM's progress reflects the words of President Wang Pengcheng:
"The progress made over the past year is not only about faster growth. It also represents the continued implementation and advancement of our full-chain integrated capabilities across technological innovation, advanced manufacturing, industrial collaboration and global expansion."
Looking ahead, HiTHIUM will continue following global trends in long-duration energy storage.
