Solarpro CATL 602MWh BESS Bulgaria

Project Overview
The Burgas BESS in Bulgaria is a 602MWh utility-scale battery energy storage project that has been successfully commissioned and connected to the Bulgarian grid, making it one of the largest operational BESS projects in Eastern Europe. Solarpro Technology served as the EPC contractor and system integrator, while CATL supplied its TENER battery energy storage solution for the project. According to Sineng Electric, it supplied PCS equipment for a 150MW/300MWh section of the facility, using its 6.9MW central PCS MV turnkey solution. The project is designed to provide grid balancing and frequency regulation services, improve renewable energy integration, and strengthen system flexibility and stability in Bulgaria’s power network.
