Construction Begins on HyperStrong's GigaBattery Boxberg 400 Project in Germany On August 31, a groundbreaking ceremony was held for the GigaBattery Boxberg 400 large-scale energy storage project in Saxony, Germany. HyperStrong joined project owner LEAG and other partners to officially begin construction. 📌 Project Overview ▪️ Project: GigaBattery Boxberg 400 ▪️ Location: Boxberg Former Unit 2, Saxony, Germany ▪️ Capacity: 400MW/1,600MWh ▪️ Storage duration: 4 hours ▪️ Site area: Approximately 6 hectares of remediated land ▪️ Project owner: #LEAG ▪️ System supplier: #HyperStrong ▪️ Storage system: #HyperBlockIII ▪️ Battery technology: LFP+Smart liquid cooling ▪️ Scope of delivery: BESS supply, electrical equipment integration and turnkey construction of the energy storage facility ▪️ Strategic role: A key component of LEAG's "#GigawattFactory" integrated renewable energy hub Once operational, the project could supply around 640,000 households for four hours and enhance Germany grid flexibility and stability. HyperStrong will deliver the complete battery energy storage system in collaboration with LEAG Clean Power and other partners.
