Project Overview

UGL is appointed by Neoen and Tesla to build the 164 MW / 905 MWh Muchea Battery northeast of Perth, Western Australia. It is Neoen’s first 6-hour long-duration storage facility, deploying 252 Tesla Megapack 2XL units. UGL’s scope covers site preparation, design & construction of a 132kV substation, HV infrastructure, control and switchroom facilities, earthworks, footings, as well as testing and commissioning support.
