Project Overview
The Hagersville Battery Energy Storage Park is a 300 MW / 1,200 MWh standalone grid-scale battery energy storage project located near Hagersville, Haldimand County, Ontario, Canada. Co-developed by Boralex Inc. and Six Nations of the Grand River Development Corporation (SNGRDC), the project entered commercial operation on February 27, 2026, becoming Canada’s largest operating battery storage facility. Equipped with Tesla Megapack 2XL battery systems, the four-hour BESS supports Ontario’s electricity grid by providing peak demand capacity, renewable energy integration and grid flexibility services.
