Project Overview

The Kvosted Solar and Battery Park is a utility-scale solar-plus-storage hybrid project located in Kvosted, Viborg Municipality, Central Jutland, Denmark. Developed by European Energy, the project combines an existing approximately 100 MW solar park with a 50 MW / 200 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS). The battery system entered commercial operation in December 2025 and the hybrid park was officially inaugurated in February 2026, becoming one of Northern Europe’s largest operational solar-plus-storage facilities.
