Project Overview

The Orient Power Constanța Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) is a 6.9 MW / 13.76 MWh standalone grid-scale battery storage project located in Constanța, Romania. Developed through a partnership between Orient Power and Ganfeng Lithium Battery, the project was grid-connected in April 2026 and entered commercial operation in May 2026. Ganfeng Lithium supplied the core battery cells and containerized energy storage solution, while Orient Power provided the customized EMS and SCADA systems, enabling participation in Romania’s electricity market and supporting grid flexibility.
