Project Overview

The Suerza Deinze Battery Energy Storage System (Deinze Distribution-grid BESS) is a 10 MW / 55 MWh standalone battery energy storage project located in Deinze, East Flanders, Belgium. Developed by EcoSourcen with Sunwoda as the battery energy storage system supplier and supported by Patronale Life as an investor, the project was commissioned in April 2026 and connected to the Fluvius distribution grid. As one of Belgium’s largest distribution-grid battery parks, it provides local grid flexibility, renewable energy integration and congestion management services.
