Project Overview

The Belovo, Momchilgrad and Parvomay 1 Battery Energy Storage Systems are three standalone grid-scale BESS projects located in Bulgaria. Acquired by GEN-I Invest in June 2026, the combined portfolio has a total power capacity of 30 MW and an energy storage capacity of 76 MWh. The projects strengthen GEN-I’s battery storage portfolio in Southeast Europe and will be operated to support electricity market participation and power system flexibility in Bulgaria.
