Project Overview

KAHRAMAA commissioned Qatar’s first battery energy storage pilot project at the Nuaija Substation in 2020. The 1 MW / 4 MWh Tesla-based BESS was deployed to support peak load shifting, grid voltage improvement, and power system flexibility.
