Quorn Park Solar‑Hybrid Project

Project Overview
Quorn Park Solar Hybrid is a hybrid renewable energy project located approximately 10 km northwest of Parkes, NSW, combining a 98 MWdc solar farm with a 20 MW / 40 MWh battery energy storage system. Quorn Park is Australia’s first formally registered hybrid asset under AEMO’s Integrated Resource Provider (IRP) framework for the National Electricity Market (NEM). The completed facility deploys over 160,000 solar modules plus a 16‑unit battery system together with associated power, control and interconnection infrastructure. The project places high priority on local‑community engagement and Indigenous cultural recognition, marking a key milestone for Australia’s renewable‑energy transition.
